Bottle at K Bar. Black, bright off white head. Aroma of licorice and burnt espresso. Taste is bitter herbal coffee, over toasted brownies. Slick mouthfeel, slightly boozy. Delicious.

Bittle at K Bar, furst beer of our Iceland trip. Brown color, tan head. Nice aroma of very fruity coffee, light licorice. Taste has soft roast, raisins, dates, stewed prunes. Very tasty.

Bottle from Steamworks Liquor Shop, Vancouver
Black color with generous brownish, fizzy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, light impression of quality coffee. Rather attenuated, the mouthfeel is drier than the average Imperial Stout, but also the alcohol is very noticeable; the malt flavor is very nice, with good accent of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted nuts, some salty liquorice, and light lactose.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Haukur) - Copper with a slight haze and a small head. Dried fruit, apricot and a hint of leather in the aroma. Fruity and moderately sweet taste with notes of peach, apricot, raisins, caramel and leather.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Haukur) - Black with a tan head. Liquorice, coffee, roasted malt and some faint soapy notes in the aroma. Roasted and fairly smooth with a noticeable hop presence and notes of coffee, vanilla, liquorice and chocolate.

Bottle from Legacy. Reddish-amber. Thick bubbly head. Bright. Aroma is fruity (apricot, orange), pine cone, sweet taste, this is lightly orangey and piney, almost sugary finish.

330 ml bottle @ Haandverkerstuene May 2014. Dark brown body with a medium sized beige head. Relatively mild but pleasant aroma of malt, berries, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Flavor is smooth, sweet malt, fruity, smoke and pleasant bitterness. Fine balanced body and a good sweet and fruity aftertaste with some warming alcohol. Nice one.
