12 ounce bottle. Medium gold pour. Massive frothy beige head. Grainy, bready malt nose. Dusty, dryish grain malt flavor. Some residual hop bitterness. Dry, peppery hop finish.

Bright pink coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that fades very quickly - perhaps after a second or two. Aroma of salt, brine, light grass, grapes, some oranges, a dash of pepper and a good amount of limes and citrus components. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal notes at first that show some coriander seed freshness along with a dash of hibiscus and a touch of light caster sugar and a faint dash of pepper and light dry spices that make this feel somewhat of a saison. Aftertaste shows the fruity, dry and herbal notes with some light citrus and more assertive grassy and floral elements with the hibiscus really coming through. Overall, a pungent and dry, very funky beer that shows a lot of herbal, grassy and floral notes that make this hit more of a herb/spice beer than a saison, and even then, almost of a fruit beer as well. Very interesting, but sadly, the components and profile don't really connect with the beer or what they were attempting here. Not worth trying to find and not worth holding onto if you already have it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Springfield, Virginia on 20-October-2019 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 26-January-2020.

12 ounce can thanks to hershiser2! 1/14/20. I like that I'm friends with 60% of the people that have rated this beer so far! Hazy orange, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of snappy, herbal hops. Pale malt. Taste is pale bready malt, herbal and grassy hops. Medium bodied, crisp, well balanced. Very nice.

Pint can, TWSP. Gold pour, huge beige head. Cranberry, yeast, dusty aroma. Flavor is strong tart cranberry, lemon juice, yeast, green leaf, lemon zest.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Modest coffee. Trace of unwelcome esters. Little dark fruits. Semi dry finish. Okay. Bit dull and estery.

ABV: 6.4%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, bread, spicy, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, dark malt, roasted - chocolate, spicy, cinnamon, maple, vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at GBBF 2019. Herbal nose with vanilla, chocolate, some veggies, seems like chilis but there are none. Pale black color. Sweet flavor of additives like vanilla, chocolate. Interesting but ultimately empty.

8/8/2019. Cask at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of mild chocolate, light roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, light wood, dried fruits and a hint of bourbon. Medium sweetness with moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly slick but watery texture, soft carbonation. Nice warming cinnamon and vanilla finish. Quite enjoyable.
