Description
Established in early 2012 by Ant and Kate Stevens, Ledbury Real Ales is focused on producing a small range of high quality cask conditioned real ales. All our beers are made from hops grown in Herefordshire and Worcestershire with other materials sourced locally where possible. Our beers are sold mainly within a 15 mile radius of the brewery which allows us to meet one of our main aims of creating a local product for a local market.

Handpull cask at the Great Malvern Hotel, Great Malvern. Light to midgold, clear with a medium-sized white head. Lightbgrainy/buttery aroma, touches of citrus. Bittersweet with some medicinal bitterness at the finish..light body soft carbonation. Pretty unremarkable but drinkable

Handpull cask at the Feathers Hotel, Ledbury. Light gold and clear with a very small white head. Sweet spicy aroma, light grains, some appley and grapefruit notes. Taste is bittersweet, a little soapy and astringent. A fair intensity to the bitter finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Reasonable.

Handpull cask at the Feathers Hotel, Ledbury. Very light gold, clear with a very small ring of white head. White grapefruit, lemon, some white grape and physalis in the aroma. Bittersweet taste, bursting with Cascade. The hoppy bitterness makes for an incredible finish. Slightly dry at the end. Light body, soft carbonation. Good brewing.

Cask at the Wyche Inn, Wyche. Pours bright gold with a small head. Aroma is grainy grass with a touch of jelly. Taste is grassy and grainy.

Cask-conditioned at the Oil Basin, Worcester June 2023. Golden in colour, with a moderately-sized, white, head. Citrus hops, tangerine and pineapple fruit character, rich tea malts, leading to a moderately dry finish. Good.

10/3/2023. Cask at Sociable Beer Company, Worcester. Pours clear golden amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, malt, caramel, touch of spice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, soft carbonation.

10/3/2023. Cask at Oil Basin, Worcester. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, grass, light herb. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily and watery, soft carbonation.

10/3/2023. Cask at The Plough, Worcester. Pours clear deep golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, flowers. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish but a little watery.

Cask @ Sociable Beer, Worcester. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, hops, fruits and has a light bitter finish.
