Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by three native Kentuckians with a passion for great craft beer. Country Boy prides itself on making minimally processed beers with high quality, real ingredients. Their passion for great beer shines through their core brands, Cougar Bait American Blonde Ale and Shotgun Wedding Vanilla Brown Ale. Their recent expansion to Georgetown, KY with the largest production brewery in the state will allow them to can their popular Cliff Jumper IPA and Halfway Home Pale Ale, in addition to several seasonal offerings.

12oz can pours a murky gold with some frothy white head. Whoa, that nose is gristy, bread, toast, opens up into honey and dandelions. Flavor has a lot of fresh honey, some chrysanthemum, less grist, yeast, light white bread. Finishes honey sweet.

Draft: Clear copper with a beige head. Toffee, cinnamon aroma. Flavours of chocolate/caramel malts, cinnamon, and a slight herbal bittering. Very good....spicy... I’d never have thought this had that high an ABV.... Really nicely done.

Draft. Woody bourbon, light cinnamon/clove, and chocolate caramel malt aroma. Amber with minimal head. Very sweet cinnamon, chocolate caramel malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Moderate bourbon finish. Strength well hidden.

On tap at MM St. Mathews. Clear golden and small white head. Aroma is slightly tart, light body, low carbonation, and good thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is tart and salty.

On tap at MM. Clear Amber with small white head. Aroma is chocolate, thick body, low carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste big chocolate, some cherry, and booze.

On tap at ATG. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is nice grapefruit, medium body, low carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is herbal hops, grapefruit hops, and bitter finish.

Draft: Cloudy, amber-orange with a small off-white head. Orange, wheat scent. Taste is slightly earthy wheat malt, orange malt.... Mild grassy bitter. Not bad, but a little plain.
