Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Clear gold with small white top. It has some apricot and biscuit notes with some light resin oiliness which effects the mouthfeel more than the flavour in truth. Its decent enough but lacks a punch.

Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. Near black pour with nice beige to tanned head, great lacing. Roast, chocolate, peppermint which is not overdone and adds a nice element to this. Enjoyable.

Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. The first review of this beer in 6.5 years - maybe Green Duck are working through their back catalogue. Crystal clear light gold with smooth white top. Tangy stone fruit, lychee and minerals. Light to medium bodied, slick, semi-drying, easy drinking but doesn't particularly stand out.

Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Pours a near black with smooth tanned head. This has quite a roasty character with a berry fruitiness and some dark chocolate and liquorice. Smooth medium body, semi-drying. Good.

Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. Misted gold with a small consistent white top. There is a hoppy citrus, peach and white grape aroma. Flavour is the same with a light pine note. Very fruity pale with light bitterness but balance is good as not too sweet. Simple but quite tasty and very sessionable.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham 11/8/22. Dark brown with some ruby light showing through, thin off white head. This one was sweet with dark malts, lots of vanilla with some coffee notes and burnt liquorice. Semi-drying finish, not quite a slick as expected but its fine. Decent and very drinkable but could be better for the style.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Clear reddish-brown, small off-white head. Dark malts, cocoa dusting, some toffee and berry tang. Easy drinking, light, semi-drying, slight spice tingle. No huge depth to this but it ticks the boxes for a light mild quite well.
