33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A slightly hazy amber colour with a thin white head; some berry fruit and biscuity aromas; biscuity body with a pleasant herbal bitterness; and a touch of peppery spice to finish. An intersting hop.

From a 500ml bottle on 4/7/2017. Pours dark brown with little in the way of head. Has a light caramel malt aroma. The flavours are light and primarily sweet, with chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Finishes with a mild roasty bitterness. A pleasant drinking dark beer

500ml bottle into tulip. 25th June, when the days are really short! Dark, really dark with a thin frothy head. Nose is pleasantly malty but faint. Full-bodied, taste is roasted cocoa. Finish is long and slightly smoky with sweet notes. Very smooth and delicious like expensive dark chocolate.

Keg at Three Johns. It pours deep red with a sturdy off - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, jammy, red berry, bread, fruit cake and such like. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, malty action, jammy red fruits, stewed strawberry, Victoria sponge, bready, wood, leather and some nut with a soft, lightly dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Hides alcohol well. Simple red ale. Not so bad.
