Description
Started brewing in 1986 based on Victoria St in Douglas when they were known as Bushy's Brewpub. A need for extra capacity caused a move to their current location the Mount Murray Brewery in 1990 with the plant coming from the defunct Brighton Brewery.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is butterscotch, malty, toffee. Taste is bitter forward, toffee, sweet malts.

Sample thanks to Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear golen colour, bubbly white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grains, straw, hay. caramel hint. Taste is sweetish, malty, biscuit & caramel notes, tangy, bitter. Watery mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, bitter finish. OK.

8/4/2021. 1litre bottle courtesy of Robin, cheers. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is malty, citrus, grain, caramel, straw. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, quite fizzy.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2019 - London. Pours clear golden-brown with a frothy, light tan head. Decent English yeast expression, notes of toasted brown bread, perhaps a touch of orange peel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Nice balance in the finish. Fine overall.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2019, [ Great British Beer Festival 2019 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.

[ As Bushys Dark Side ].
ABV: 4.0%. Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, bread. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, toasted, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190806]

Cask at GBBF ‘19, day 3, 08/08/19. Deep chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Nose is nutty, brown bread, dark malts, dried fruits. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, stewed fruits, brown bread, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok mild.

Cask at GBBF: Poured a mahogany brown with bubble off white head. Aroma was malt and yeast. Taste is nice soft malts and grain. Not overwhelming but good.
