6th August 2019
GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, mildly tangy dark chocolate. A fair bit of nuttyness goes well with the tangy dark fruits. Flavoursome but could not drink a pint.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2019. Black beer lasting tan head. Like chocolate warm sponge cake. A little bit of peanut on the end. Love the chocolate sponge peanut cross over. Good.

Pours an amber from a tap, big citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor: mango and papaya, orange juice. Sweet. Pretty good beer.

Draught at Townshend, 11/11/18.
Moderately hazy, brass-golden with deeper copper hues and a small, white head sitting at cover.
Nose is a soft, vegetal, lightly spicy, scallion puree with soft, honey-like base malt behind it, bits of nectarine, strong, fruity esters and a bit of bubble gum. Very light notes of pine and tangerine linger on the finish, with no alcohol, flaw or resin noted.
In the mouth it's lightly juicy, well-attenuated, with a soft, malty texture and low, but engaging carbonation. A good rendition of the NE IPA and it's not overdone with yeast, yeast and more yeast notes. Definitely more scallion character than I'd prefer, although it isn't astringent or overpowering. If you don't mind scallion, then this is pleasant enough. Otherwise, that may ruin it for you.

Draught at Gingerman, 10/29/18.
Crystal clear, pale, straw-blonde with little/no head atop. Hmmm, guess everything settled out in the keg. So much for permahaze...
Smells very lactose-heavy, with creamy-sweet honey and milk, very light floral hops and a hint of citrus. Very low hop character here.
In the mouth it's basically just a malt-and-lactose golden ale with a light afterthought of hops adding light floral notes and hints of citrus. Strong vanilla emerging with warming, as well. Seems like 98% milkshake and 2% IPA. Sweet, soft and sticky with low, somewhat loose carbonation and medium attenuation.

Draft at Gingerman, 10.29.18.
Very light , lemon-blonde. White head fades quickly to ring.
Lemon, pine, light scallion and softly fruity yeast.
Flavor the same. There's a lovely fruitiness here with light melon and soft, backing, honey-like malt, but it's very scallion-forward. Otherwise excellent, with tight carb and high attenuation. Low but ample bitterness with lingering ester, lemon, light vegetal notes and scallion.
