Cask at kenilworth ... At first i though this was the Cask version of the Honey wheat... what a disapointment ... very slight haze yellow ... light creamy head... light dry hop nose ... light fruity mellow hop with alittle honey ... little bitter ... no real spice .. quite disapointing.

Cask via handpump at the Wenlock, on 21st June 2009. Naturally hazy yellowish wheatbeer with a white head. Initial aromas are of honey, pepper and cinnamon before a pleasant surprise of hops kick in. Then a well-crafted harmony of all four notes are carried on a zingy mouthfeel followed by a long, pleasant finish of spice and hop. There is a lot happening in this beer, and it is in all honesty the best Sharps beer I have ever drunk.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty slightly yeasty citrus aroma. Dry malty citrus flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a dry malty finish with some fruity hints in the aftertaste.

Cask (gravity) @ The Bankers Draft, 1–3 Market Place, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England S1 2GH.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090419]

Cask (handpump) @ The KIT (Kelham Island Tavern), 62 Russell Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England S3 8RW.Clear dark red brown color with a average, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate to light heavy dark berry. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090417]

Bottle at The Rake, HogTownHarry visit May 2009. Pretty looking beer, deep amber, lasting beinge head. Bit sweetish on aroma. Actually pretty drinkable, some tangerine. Booziness softened out of it I thought. Teh tagerine was great. Really quite lovely.

Bottle at The Rake, HogTownHarry visit May 2009. 660ml bottle mislabelled with the Massive. No Belgian yeast on the aroma or in the flavour, so ends up as a sweet sugary brown beer. Some toasty notes. It’s ok, but not really a Belgian beer. The malts are interesting but not too much to balance them.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and light notes of hops and berries. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of citrus.

Bottle from Real Ale Ltd, cheers Duff, consumed outside the campervan, in a field at Great Gransden, Cambs’ 02-05-09 Pours dark amber colour with a white head, good clarity looks very nice. Slight metallic waft from the nose, otherwise just some sweet malts. Tasted fine if a little underwhelming, some toffee, malts and a little bitterness, soft in the mouth, its ok but I have to confess to being just a little disappointed by another Cornish also ran. Cask-conditioned as "Abolition Ale" at the Seven Stars, Bristol 1//0509. If there is ever a case for rebadging, I guess this must be it. The anti-slavery campaigner Thomas Clarkson apparently received much assistance from the landlord of this pub whilst investigating the Bristol part of the slave trade. That aside, this was a decent amber session bitter, with some fruit and a bitter finish. Good.
