Was down as a BA sour pilsner, and I'm thinking whisky notes - but turns out it's white wine barrels, so there's confirmation bias in action in my head! Clear and golden with a small bubbly white head and a funky aroma. Proper refreshing with a dry tartness to it and a little (fruity) sweetness from, as it turns out, white wine

Can from the ISBF21 box. This was brewed for the virtual fest and I note that the version that's available now is 4.5%. Aroma has dry sherbert with tart citrus. Clear light gold. Foamy microbubbled white head. Light-medium sour. Delicately so. Lemon juice. Vinous. Backed up by a touch of bitterness and sherbert throughout. Light bodied. Thin but slick. A slight chalky residue. Soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Palate pleasing relaxing Saison.

Early test batch straight from the brewer. Thanks Mett B. / Belgain Pale Ale with Brettanomyces aged in Rioja barrels. Lovely.

Keg @ Stori, Bala after a ride from Lake Bala to Trawsfynyedd Reservoir and back. Misty pale yellow, good white head. Mousy wild farmhouse funk aroma, continuing to taste with gentle pastry crust notes, and wild cidery moments. Quite complex with sharp wild nuances and a crisp sour edge.
