Let’s raise a glass and toast the way it should be - local beer brewed by local beer lovers using local ingredients, including fresh water from our very own Hertfordshire borehole.

No fuss, no pretension - just passion and a year’s hard work at our nearby farm to brew ales we, and hopefully the people of St. Albans, can be proud of.

Tried in cask at the Cardinals Hat Lincoln. Deep amber colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are light malty sweet. With slight berry fruit. Medium body.

[ As The 3 Brewers Copper ].
ABV: 3.9%. Clear medium yellow amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, sweet malt, malty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, caramel, sweet malt, pale malt, hay. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190802]

Cask gravity at the watford beer festival 2019. A clear mid amber copper coloured pour with a halo of loose white head. Aroma is rustic, autumnal leaves, some tangy fruits, raisin, apple. Flavour is composed of brown bread, light toffee, raisin loaf, apple ester notes. Palate is simple, easy going, decent condition. Good.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As 3 Brewers Special English Ale ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, toasted - caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, toasted - caramel, toffee - nutty. Gravicask at the 23rd St Albans Beer & Cider Festival. Clear warm golden body, clingy lacing, filmy layer. Mild ripe fruity aromas. Mixed taste of mango and bread. Drying ending. Smooth on the swallow. Satisfying. (Shared with Finn, 27.09.2018).

27/9/2018. Cask at the St.Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2018. 5.2% abv. Pours dark mahogany brown with a bubbly lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit, toffee, chocolate and hops. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
