Brockley Brewery was founded in 2013 by seven partners, coming from a range of backgrounds, but with common ground:

- We all live in South East London, in or around Brockley.
- We want to positively contribute to the local community
- We want to run our business “the right way” - we have strong ethics
- We want to make great beer as part of London’s vibrant craft beer scene

Cask at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Gold pour with a white head. Nose of apricot, vanilla, lemon zest. Flavours of tangerine, light malt, grapefruit. Good.

Cask @ GBBF 2017. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty licorice and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2017 [ The 42th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 10th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As Brockley Red Ale ]. ABV: 4.8%. Light unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, pale malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, candy, cookie, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171011] 6-3-6-3-11

Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Olympia, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes the same, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel. Decent enough porter from Brockley.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Palate is light and dry, modest carbonation. Dry dark malts bring a little dry dark chocolate. Mild roast. Dry floralness and dry orangey citrus on the finish. Not bad.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark chestnut brown with a lasting bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, blackberry and hop. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 1. A dark brown beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, dark reddish malt. Taste of sweet mild roasted malt, Chocolate, Red fruits.

Cask gravity at Croydon Craft Fest. It pours hazy golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy stone fruits, peach, apricot, persimmon, earthy notes and marmalade. The taste is bitter, earthy, grassy, floral, soapy citrus, stone fruits and spice with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation carbonation. Aroma is OK, but taste is a bit chewy. A touch muddled.
