Bottle from Villeneuve Wines. Hazy orange body with a medium white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of orange, honey and a faint cardboard note. Flavour of caramel, orange and apricot. Not quite punchy enough for an IPA. Medium body with an oily texture. Nice fizz. It’s perfectly drinkable, but it doesn’t really taste of much.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Murky amber body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Aroma of caramel, nuts, mushy red apple and rust. Flavour of earth, toffee, brown bread and dried apricot. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I like that this brewery focus on unfiltered beers. This is a pretty good one.

Bottle at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. I believe I tracked down this rarity to share with the group! Pours clear gold with a creamy, white topping. Lots of doughy bread in here, then some straight sugar. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, bready finish with little to no bitterness, slight cereal and hay. Basic but drinks pretty good for the ABV.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Label has it as Bern Stein. Hazy amber. Thin, lasting, white head. Bready and sweet toffee. Taste is dry and fruity. Overall, though, this tastes artificial. Mouth coating saccharine thing going on.
