Description
The pub and brewery were taken over by Jospeh Holt in 2013. Some beers are produced at a larger pilot plant at Holt's main site. From 2019 brewing was suspended at this site but appears to have resumed.

Half, hand-pulled cask ale at the brewpub Horse & Jockey. Thin, fawn-coloured head. Very dark coloured body with a brownish shade. Aroma of coffee grounds. Blended taste of cold coffee and cocoa. Easy to approach. Thin bodied, otherwise very nice (Chorlton, 06.07.2012).

Half pint, hand-pulled cask, house beer at the brewpub The Horse & Jockey in Chorlton. Naked surface to a clear golden body. Spotty lacing. Fresh fruity hops to the nose. Juicy fruits to the taste profile with hints of grainy malts. Half-dry, bitter ending. Fresh and fruity (Greater Manchester, 06.07.2012).

Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, nutty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, warm citrus hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20101201]
