Hand-pulled pint on 25th Nov 2015. Not too sure what the other three people who have rated this had, but it’s not the same beer I am rating! Deep, dark brown/ruby red body, off-white head. Rye and Barley Malts in the nose and taste. Semi-sweet with a low bitter finish. OK and I wanted another pint, but the barrel ran out before I got the chance.

From cask at Albert’s Chop House, Manchester, 07.05.15. Clear, pale golden. Huge, dense and persistent off-white head. Moderate aroma, with some inviting citrus. Similarlybrefreshing taste, with decent bitterness.

Cask @ Old Black Bull, Preston. Golden-blonde with a creamy head. Has a light berry sweetness in its nose with a more neutralised, balanced taste. Certainly an easy drinking golden session ale.

Cask @ Ape and Apple, Manchester. Glowing copper-amber with next to no head. Has a sweet syrup smoothness, although not overly stated in its sweet syrup taste - however it is the dominant character of this ale. Sweet nose.

Cask @ Ring O’Bells, Halifax. Lighter golden-blond coloured with a creamy head. Session ale with a small hoppy dryness in taste.

Cask-conditioned at the Charles II, Worcester, 23/7/2014. Deep gold with a tight, white, head. Light aroma of hay with a touch of leafy hop. Easy, sweet, drinking, with some jarring butter in the finish. Not for me.
