Sampled at the brewery. A bright reddish copper colour with a thin cream head; aroma of crystal malts; sweet malty taste with a well-balanced crisp fruity bitterness. Above average for a Rebellion monthly beer.

Cask at the Tree House, Beaconsfield. Amber-red with a thin white head. Very sweet. Caramel, caramel and more caramel. Just a hint of dry earthy hops behind but really this is one of Rebellion’s poorer monthly specials.

On tap at the brewery. A beautiful bright copper pour with a tight cream head; orangey aroma; rich and jammy in the mouth with a mature orange marmalade taste; solid and refreshing with a long herbal bitterness. Much better than the average Rebellion monthly offering.

Cask at the brewery. Crystal clear amber with a middling white head. Light fizz, fresh as you like and fantastic condition- as you’d expect it to be at the brewery. Biscuits, lots of malt, Sweet marmalade them a mildly dry finish. Tasty and refreshing, one of Rebellion’s better monthly specials, although the excellent condition no doubt helped.

Cask at the Bootlegger, 07/05/16. Golden amber with a well appointed off white head. Nose is pale malts, light caramel, orange rind, straw. Taste comprises caramel, grain, light bread, citric rinds, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok ... inoffensive stuff but far from setting my beer world alight!

Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Deep amber with an off-white head. Earthy bitterness with some caramel and nutty malt. Normally I like Rebellion’s monthly specials but this one’s rather disappointing.
