Can bought at Village Vintners, Pyrford. Aroma has saline edged lime and yer standard malty and yeasty lager notes. Hazy muted gold. Fluffy foamy white head. Medium bitter with a sour streak. Gains malty sweetness into the finish. The lime sourness and the salt add bite. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. It's OK but just doesn't do much for me. Possibly a beer that would have benefitted from being sold colder.

440ml can at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Brownish red with a small film of khaki/tan head. Perfectly sugar-sweet yeasty aroma with shades of stone fruit and Madagascar vanilla. Sweet taste of boiled candies, caramel and jam-laden toast. There is a notable hop bitterness with turns almost astringent nearer the long finish. Big full body with medium carbonation. Who says British breweries can't brew Belgian styles?

Keg draught at the Sympathetic Ear, Brixton. Light to mid-gold and cloudy with an uneven white head. Lots of coriander on the nose, a little bit of tarragon, some banana. Taste is laden with coriander seed, some peppercorn, agave nectar. Sweet with a bitterness at the end. Finish is incredibly dry. Heavy carbonation. Oh my Lord they nailed this style. The best Witbier I've ever had? Without question.

Keg draught from the brewery tap, Herne Hill. Dark gold, hazy with a film of white head. Hoppy aroma, smells of apple and melon. Sweet taste with notes of white grapefruit and tannic iced tea. Taste is sweet with a decent malt presence amongst the fruity hop character. Finish is slightly more bitter, giving the beer a pleasant overall balance. Slight body, soft to medium carbonation.
