[ As Downlands Red October ].Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit, candy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dried fruit, candy, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours gold, white head. Aroma bears some citric action. Taste seems to be more in line with a sorachi type sweetness at first, nice mellow citrus emerging. Decent.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark with small foamy tan head. Nice toasty tickle on the nose, with good coffee roast on the palate, some soft choc sweetness emerging. Nice.

19th July 2017: cask at the CAMRA Shrewsbury Beer Festival. Golden amber body, off-white head. Citrusy notes from the hop, lime like really, in both the nose and taste. Malts calm the beer down nicely. OK, rather than fantastic.

Cask-conditioned at the Bookshop, Southampton 2/7/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Bog citrus hop character, sweetish malts, tropical fruits, some blueberry sweetness and a dry finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the 26th Egham beer festival, Egham, Surrey. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit, sorachi, coconut on the nose. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, sorachi, hint of coconut, sweet and bitter, quite boozy. Rather nice.
