Description
Focussing on "the good side of life" is what Big Belly Brewing is all about. We love things a little bigger, going the extra mile, adding something special, being more creative. But above all, we love things in life that are a bit more fun.

All our beers are well balanced and made with premium "The Swean" malts, so we get the full, distinctive beers that we are proud of. After coming up with a special touch, we design a legendary character for every beer. Finally, we write and add an amusing story about the character and the beer. That's how we make one of the most fun things, drinking beer, even more fun.

Bottled 330ml. -from Bierkoning Amsterdam. Clear amber coloured, medium sized tan head, caramel and cinnamon in the nose. Noticable cinnamon, light caramel, notes of vanilla and alcohol with rather sweet finish. Light cinnamon in the aftertaste.

Smells a bit caramelly, fairly nondescript. Taste is pretty heavy on the bitterness, some of that caramel, and something fruity.. dried cherries? Some stonefruit too, a bit of citrus. Hops hide malts, but unbalanced. Not really my thing, but not bad.

Vloeibare koffiekoekjes.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma of creamy mocha, pecan, chocolate, caramel and hopjesvla. Taste has salted caramel, creamy pecan, mocha hopjesvla, chocolate, salmiak and a sticky mouthfeel. I actually really like this, it's a rich and flavorful dessert beer.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, dark chestnut colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Rather complex, evolving, herbal, spicy, fruity aroma, notes of cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, clove, ephemeral hints of herb liquor, chocolately malty background, ginger overtones, subtle rye spiciness, some banana. Taste is dark malty, chocolately, spicy, slightly fruity, notes of cherry, black cherry, vanilla and cinnamon, some ginger, clove, hints of rye spiciness, banana. Very nice composition.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2018) Cloudy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, resin and a balanced citric/tropical bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and juicy. Nice one.
