On tap at Graydon’s Crossing, Grand Rapids. I lost my notes, but this was a crisp, bright pale ale with citrus pulp and rind backed by toasty malts. Sweet and bitter. Enjoyable.

On tap at Odd Side. So this brewery is winning me over in leaps and bounds. This beer was a golden color with a decent head and aromas of mostly citrusy hops and a little honey. I guess I could pick out pepper if I tried really hard, but it might have been no more than the power of suggestion. Flavor is more of the light and airy pale ale that borders on IPA with the amount of hops... kind of a grassy and lemony flavor to them. Again, pepper is faint to non-existent, but this is a pretty good beer.

On tap at Odd Side. This beer had an oddly cloudy pour with a medium head. Kind of a darkish orange/tarnished penny color. Aroma was kind of edgy hops that didn’t have a clear definition to them. The guy said it had a lot of Galena, which makes sense, I guess. Not a clear profile on the hops. The grain was also a little off on this one. Kinda cloudy, kinda dusty. The whole beer seemed a bit awash. Fortunately, it was chased by some complete gems from Odd Side.

On tap at Odd Side. This beer was a amber gold with a little bit of a head and aromas that were lightly reminiscent of the juice that is added to pineapples in a can with a little bit of citrus and tropical fruit hops blended over top. Flavor had a pretty sweet and almost syrupy pineapple juice flavor with enough hops (resiny in the late finish, but tropical fruit up front) to balance it out and make the whole thing damn tasty! I want more! Great stuff!

On tap at Odd Side. This beer is a light reddish amber with a medium sized sudsy head. Aromas shifted around a lot as it warmed. At first I thought it was more malt vinegar, tart cherries and band-aids, but as it warmed a bit, it became much more sour apple dominated and the bandages took a hike. Flavor was a little sweeter than I expected and sour was a little more underdeveloped than I had hoped, but this is one of the better Flanders beers I have had from a small brewer. It has quite a bit of a cherry sweet/sour thing going, but it finishes nice and tart with just enough edginess to make me happy. The wife liked it too!

On tap at Odd Side. Pours a slightly hazy reddish color with a little bit of white/pink head and aromas of raspberries. Raspberries dominate the flavor and palate as well. Not much else pokes through, but it’s a darn nice raspberry flavor.

On tap at Odd Side. First off, this is crystal clear orange with little head. Aromas are flat out Citra... lots of oranges, mangoes and a little bit of resin. Flavor is a perfect mix of light malt that highlights the hops and enough of the citra to keep things interesting. This is about as perfect of a single hop beer as you can get.
