About
Odd Side Ales is a family of gifted individuals, focused on the shared goal of crafting unique products, while maintaining the utmost quality.

Our story began in 2010, as a micro-brewery producing craft beer from our pub located inside the historic piano factory in Grand Haven, Michigan. We quickly outgrew the pub’s brewing capacity and now, after three different expansions, brew from our own 44,000 sq. ft. facility.

Our main focus is to creatively stay on the leading edge of craft beer styling. While maintaining a large core of year round and seasonal favorites, we strive to introduce new recipes that push the boundaries of flavor combinations and craft beer categories. Everyone at Odd Side Ales is here because they have a true love of craft beer, the industry as a whole, and the people who drink and enjoy what we are able to do each day!

Beyond Michigan, we now distribute to Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. We hope to continue our growth, expanding our reach even further, and share our craft as far as possible!

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 24/06/23. Black with a fast escaping tan head. Nose is chocolate pot, brown sugar melt, molasses, toffee fudge, vanilla essence, mellow bourbon nip. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, bourbon kiss, vanilla, dried fruit rinds, chocolate, molasses, dates, figs, nutty trace. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy BA impy that packs a punch and balances well.

Can. Opaque dark brown black beer, small tan head that fucks off in a jiffy. The palate is remarkably light for its hefty 16% abv, even feels a little thin. Mildy dry with good fine carbonation. The dark malts are crisp but rich, good dark chocolate and where the well integrated vanilla intersects, some nice mill chocolate and chocolate ganache. Good fruity rich bourbon punch, some bourbon spice as well. Savoury wood provides a little contrast. Little coconut before a slightly bitterish chocolate finish. A very fine BBA Impy. Very strong but easy drinking and with harmonious and layered flavours. Lovely!

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to light black with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Chocolate mousse on the nose with coffee, bourbon and oak. Hershey's chocolate syrup and warming alcohol on the palate with some marshmallow notes as it warms. Warming bourbon on the finish. A bit thin on the body, but quite enjoyable as a dessert beer. Not overly sweet or cloying..nice barrel throughout.
