Bottle. Clear golden body with a dense off-white head. Mild aroma with some malt, grain and hint of fruit/flowers. Flavor is moderate malty, with a fruity/floral touch and moderate bitterness. Decent, rather true to style Czech pilsner, but not my favorite style and I feel a bit bored with it.

On tap at Patrick's. Dark brown to black, with a dense, finger thick beige head. Cute lacing. Roasted malts, lots of licorice, some prunes and hints of cinnamon and generic spices. Sweet flavour with licorice, dried fruits, roasted malts and spices. Not much bitterness, mostly of the roasted malts kind. Full body and a smooth carbonation. Some alcohol warmth. Lasting finish. A pleasant one indeed, sure my kind of dark beer. 170923

Big fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly reddish amber color. Aroma is slightly dry yeasty, weeds, fruit stones, yeast, almond essence, toast, grass, paper, old dusty cellar. Taste is harsh mineraly, weeds, yeast, paper, fruit stones, almond essence, grass, metal tank, toast, old wash cloth, old cellar. Medium bitterness, harsh metallic mouthfeel. Crap!

Bottled, from Coop, Kaupanger. Hazy pale amber, mid sized head. Grassy, fruity nose. Mid dry with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and bready with mild grassy hops. Fairly low bitterness. Good drinkability.

Bottled. Hazy deep amber, small head. Buttery fruity nose. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Caramel, butterscotch and cardboard (though freshly consumed). Notes of viola. Low bitterness. Disappointing.
