Gravity cask at the Draymans Son, Ely. Mid-brown, very translucent with a ring of off-white head. Strong scent of chocolate malt with some fresh caramel, sweet and simple. Taste starts incredibly sweet without cloying, and there’s a fantastic little hoppy bitter twist at the end. Proper chocolatey and worth giving a go.

Cask handpull at Fat Cat Norwich. Clear amber brown colour lasting beige head. A malty bitter. Earthy English hop finish. Good malt though. I Like the malty biscuit. Decent

Cask-conditioned at the Gloucester Road Alehouse, Bristol 11/2/2016. Deep copper in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. A big, malty, beer, with some red fruit, caramel and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Pleasant winter dirnking.

Cask at the Drayman’s Son. Ruby red with little discernible carbonation. Malty smell, some oak, forest floor. Malt also dominates the taste, but there is a strong bitter edge to the finish. Not all that bad.

Light session bitter. White lacing. Pretty dull. I don't understand the point of a bit of bitter and torrified wheat and 30 ibus at a push
