Tried at the strugglers inn, Lincoln. Deep almost black colour with a beige head. Aroma is deep roasted malt, taste a touch of fruitiness. Nice enough.

On tap at the Golden Eagle, Lincoln. Almost black colour with a cream coloured head. Roasted malt, stewed fruit and liquorice aroma. Bitter taste.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Colchester No.1 ].Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, nutty, earthy notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]

Cask at the Bell, Watlham St Lawrence. Reddish chestnut with a loose cream head; fruity aroma; sweet caramel taste with a touch of spice; and an earthy finish. A pleasant, malty autumnal bitter.

Cask at Lych Gate Taern in Wolverhampton. Clear deep maroon color, tan head. Aroma of cafe au lait. Taste is sweet cappuccino. Still retains its beery characteristics. Interesting.

Cask @ Flowepot, Mirfield. Dark red-brown with a smooth head. Roasted coffee malts are abundant, but the vanilla fusion is strong too. Has plenty of flavour and a strong aroma, although a tad thinnish in the palate.
