Hazy amber - gold beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with decent minerally crispness. Typical golden orangey marmalade fruits but with an odd tang. Mild floralness on top. Whisper of soap. Light semi dry and crisp finish. It’s a little messy but okay. 2.9

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Floral sweetness with a little hard candy fruits. Milky sweetness in there. Light vanilla. A much different beer from the bottle, like grabbing a handful of various cheap sweets and sticking in them in your gob at the same time!

Cask @ the Mill, Cambridge. Reddish-brown bitter. What it lacks in head it makes up for in clarity. Floral, leafy and bready aroma. Taste starts with a sharp bitter with sweet edges, then fades to an intense bitter-sour with a papery dry finish. Refreshing. Reminiscent of Adnams Southwold, but I think this beer just shades it. Very happy to make its acquaintance.

Cask @ Cambridge Brew House. Mid- to dark brown with a loose beige head. The aroma is vanilla latte. What am I, at Costa? Actually it’s nice, not too overpowering, and the malt undertones remind you this is actually a beer. Sweet-sour taste, followed by a sharp hoppy bitterness. Custard and cannabis (seriously!) notes in the aftertaste. A weird little porter, but certainly decent.

Hops are ripe orange, little spice and a trace of resinous tropical fruits. Light semi dry finish. Spicy bitter linger. Not bad.

Cask (Guildford Arms, Edinburgh) - Golden with a white head. Lemon and grain in the aroma. Crisp, hoppy and slightly tangy taste with lemon, tea and pineapple detected.

Bree Louise. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and smooth, fine carhonation. Smooth pale malt, big honey streak, quite rich. Light floralness and ripe fruits underneath. Whisper of apple. Not bad, but very honeyish.

Cock Tavern. Cask. Almost clear paleish gold beer, small white head. Palate is light with fine carbonation, semi dry. Very light malt. Light lemony tang with mild floralness and a whisper of grapefruit. Light finish. Easy going and tasty.
