Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle number 18 of 350 shared in Old Meldrum. It pours near enough black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted, freshly ground coffee, light smoke, just a bit of chipotle, light spice and cacao. The taste is bitter - sweet, smooth roasted malt, mellow, vanilla beans, touch of bourbon, fruit cake, warming spice, rocky road and toasted marshmallow. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Smooth and balanced. Would be nice to taste this ramped up closer to 10%ish. Fun anyhow.

Bottle from Noble Hops, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, pretty juicy, ripe stone fruits, apricot, peach, tangerine, bready malts and a touch of spice. The taste is dry, fruity, juicy, minimal bitterness, bready malt, apricot, peachy, tangerine, papaya, some greenness and spice with a dry finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate carbonation. Punches above its weight that's for sure. Nice work!
