Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle picked up at a Brew Toon Market stall. It pours clear pale gold with a dissipating white cap. The aroma is a bit floral, straw, champagne, melon, greengage and some oiliness. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, nice white wine/champagne character, floral, straw, white grape, honeydew melon and touch of cream soda with a dry finish. Medium body and prickly, almost effervescent champagne-like carbonation. Nice Brut IPA. Well done.

Bottle picked up at Hatton Cross Deli. It pours hazy deep red - amber with a medium off-white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, jammy berry, Victoria sponge cake, blood orange, toffee, biscuit and some gummy bears. The taste is dry, punchy bitterness, sticky, resinous, toffee, varnish, gummy bears, piney, touch of alcohol and some citrus peel with a drying finish.. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent enough stuff.

Bottle at home. It pours lightly hazy orange with thick, fluffy long-lasting white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, tangy, lemon cordial, perfumed, lemongrass and floral accents. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, tea leaves, tannin, earthy, candied lemon, lemon ice tea, grassy, straw, lemongrass and some soapiness. Medium and high, foamy carbonation. Nice aspects to it, but perhaps is a touch soapy. Novel anyhow.
