Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle from Taste of Grampian. It pours cloudy pink with a decent pink - white head. The aroma is juicy, creamy, sweet raspberry, raspberry milkshake and cremola foam. The taste is crisp, tart red berry, raspberry, lemon sherbet, decent mouth - pucker, green apple skin, creamy, milkshake, cremola foam and raspberry cheesecake with a dry and creamy finish. Medium body and fine, effervescent carbonation. Rather good fun overall.

6.6/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 6.5
Bottle from Taste of Grampian. It pours lightly bright gold with a decent white head. The aroma is quite fresh, clean, bright grapefruit character, apricot and something herbal in the background. The taste is bitter, grapefruit, orange marmalade, lemonade, bit of spice, herb, orange blossom, straw and a touch of alcohol with a dry, citrusy finish. Medium body and fine, prickly. A good deal better than the lager. Decent IPA.

5.1/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 5 Flavor 5 Texture 4 Overall 5.5
Bottle from Taste of Grampian. It pours clear golden with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is quite mellow, soft, toasty grain, white bread and such like. The taste is initially crisp, quite sweet on the malt front, oily, white bread, rich tea biscuit, toasty grain, grassy and a hint of lemon rind with a dryish finish. Medium body and fine/low carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet. Could also been with more carbonation to lift it a bit. Not so bad, but hopefully work in progress.
