Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Scopey. Pours deep brown with a big, foamy, khaki head. The nose holds ashy roast, dry cocoa. Light sweet flavour with woody dryness, earth, baking cocoa, minerals, grass, tobacco. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Quite dry in the finish, some coffee, drying wood, cocoa, orange peel. So so overall.

Bottle split at the L42 Xmas Boost Up '17, thanks to Paulo, 18/12/17. Dark deep mahogany brown with a decent beige covering that retains well. Nose is light plastic, grains, spice, toffee, hint of cocoa powder. Taste comprises black peppery spice, mineral bite, light pine, dark toffee, cocoa bite. Medium bodied, spritzy and overcarbed, drying close dusted with earthy hop bitterness. Average CDA ... nose and mouthfeel drops this for me.
