Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.
Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

26/9/2020. Bottle shared with / courtesy of SHIG. Cheers! Pours clear yellow/gold with a pink tint and a small frothy white head. Aroma of rhubarb crumble, custard, light strawberry and cranberry. Moderate sweetness and medium sour. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, fairly fizzy but seemed to suit it. Very nice, enjoyed this.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy amber orange with no head to speak of. Nose - strawberry dominates rhubarb and sour notes. Taste - definitely a lot more rhubarb this time which is a positive. Lovely cleansing sour note too. Palate - light to medium bodied. Tangy and dry middle and finish. Overall - good stuff.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours opaque jet black with a handsome tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, deep smokey character, charred, bonfire, warming spice, clove, dark chocolate, rocky road and some oiliness. The taste is slick, unctuous, bitter - sweet, toasty, rich roasted malt, pleasant smokiness, coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits, cherry, rocky road and some toasted spice with a roasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Flavourful and moreish. Strikes a nice balance.
