Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.

Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.

Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle from The Beer Cave. Murky bronze body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach, glue and orange. Flavour of nectarine and melon with a slight plastic note on the finish. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s drinkable but there’s a hint of a flaw I think with a subtle glue/plastic note.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - yellow to amber with a light haze. The head is a little off-white. Nose - dried apricots, canned oranges, but suggesting marmalade. Taste - oranges in syrup, suggestion of overripe melon. Palate - close to medium bodied, tangy-sweet middle. Dryish finish. Overall - good, if a little sweet, even for this style of IPA.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours crystal clear red with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, tangy, fruity candy, cherry drops, cherryade, jam, touch of marzipan. The taste is initially slightly dry, sweet - sour, tangy ripe cherry, candy vibes, fizzy cherry cola bottles, sherbet, cherry drops and a vague hint of acidity. Medium body and moderate carbonation. More sweet - sour, than sour per se. Big fuzzy cherry cola bottle candy vibe, which is fun. Novel.

Taste - more sweet cherry with a fizz on the finish. Palate - medium bodied, sweet middle, dry, tangy finish. Overall - good if sweeter than expected.
