Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.
Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy orangey - golf with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tropical and juicy, bubblegum, mango, papaya, Fanta ice cream float and passion fruit. The taste is initially dry, subsequently a bit chalky and floury, then softens and sweetens, apricot, papaya, mango, citrus peel, persimmon, lilt, funky bears, touch of greenness and spice with a dry, fruity finale. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty nice tropical vibes, particularly on the snout. Taste is a touch more muddled. Decent gear anyhow.

Clear, pink-ish beer with a thin head that quickly fizzes away. Dry raspberry aroma. Taste is pretty dry too. Not as sharp as I was expecting it might be, not really very tart at all but it does still have a good whack of raspberry in there, and a bit of a savoury, biscuity quality to it as well with a bit of cream both in the taste and the feel of it. Not exciting but it's very drinkable!

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep, hazy yellow to orange. Thin off-white lacing. Nose - citrus (probably orange) and tropical (less easy to define). Taste - mainly orange with some dank tropical lurking. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy texture in the middle, leading to a zesty, bitter finish. Overall - lovely stuff, even if the guava wasn't as easy to pick out.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear red-tinged gold with a thick white head. Aromas of light rhubarb and faint sweet sugariness. Taste is sour up front, rhubarb. Then sweet again, must be the strawberry. Clean finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy orange with a decent off-white head. Nose - orange, passionfruit, mango and something a little earthy. Taste - passionfruit, ripe mango, dried orange and apricot. Orange zest/skin at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied (surprising for the ABV) and then tangy through middle and finish, with balanced bitterness. Overall - nice.
