Sample, courtesy of Grumbo! Thanks Grumbo. Hazed deep amber / copper. Aroma is caramelised apple, taste producing an accompanying strong tangy character alongside this stewed apple vibe, some additional wild sour funk, woody moments and tart sweet apple fruit. Admirable rustic farmhouse cider with bite.

Box sample thanks to Grumbo. Pours a deep hazed purple, subtle blackcurrant on the nose. Taste presents curious oak aged whisky notes blending with blackcurrant concentrate. Not entirely convinced it works, a bit rough around the edges, though it has its moments and does tend to grow on you. Good for a half.

3/5/2019. From bag in a box at the 28th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours pale red/amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of wood, moderately sour apples and light blackcurrant. Medium sweetness with light tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, very soft carbonation. Blackcurrant comes though more to taste. Dry finish, also gets sweeter. Enjoyed this more than expected. Should really be down as a flavoured cider but had already been entered.
