Dark nut brown color, small beige head. Caramel, raisins, alcohol, some hayish hoppyness in the light nose. For 8.5% beer quite watery body. Flavor is similar to nose. Caramel-raisiny sweetness backed with alcohol. Some light hops in the finish. Drinkable but plain - not very complex, similar to some other Roman brews (eg. Boxer Christmas).

Clear orange with a white head. High bead. Smells of marmalade, leaf detritus and cloves. Taste has some citrus sweetness, dull apples, plastic, wood. No real depth. Aroma suggested a spicy finish but it wasn’t really there - just a woody dryness. An inharmonious and unconvincing ersatz Duvel.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is dark malty and slight phenolic. Sweet caramelish malty. Roasted breadish. Light metallic and yeasty. Dry malty and phenolic finish.
