Pours murky orange into a tulip. Bright white soapy head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing spots. Tangerine and lemon joy aromas. Medium bodied and sweet with peach and apricot ufront turning to dirty tropical fruit skin before the medium length hot tangerine finish.
Earthy, malty, boozy. Missing that dankness, which made this beer special years ago. Still solid, but could be better. Finally done after a busy six hours at RBS.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Clear, brass pour, head settles out to little islands of fine bubbles. Aroma is caramel malts before the hefty hit of hops hit you, you can feel the heat. Taste is piney, sharp, toffee, sweet notes, resinous. Really tasty and easy to drink despite the high ABV.

Can from the Nugget Market in Woodland, CA. Pours cherry red with a slight, transient pink head. Aroma is rather Hawaiian punch. Med body. Flavor is pretty much Hawaiian punch, but there's a distracting other flavor I can't figure out. Kind of passion fruit. Not dry. Somewhat bitter. Very interesting and the flavor isn't bad.

Tap at Harry's Hofbrau. I remember liking previous versions of this more. Aroma of nice chocolate, booze and vanilla. Black with brown head. Flavor is overt roasted coffee, pitch and chocolate. Ashy roast detracts a bit here on both mouthfeel and flavor.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear mid brown with a decent tan head. Aroma is caramel & malt. Beer is light, slightly sweet and much as expected from a brown ale; malt forward, mild hops, pretty simple.
Fine.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Cloudy golden pour, one finger foamy white head. Fresh grapefruit hits the nose at opening, even from a distance. Really nice. Grapefruit in the taste, though not as bold as the aroma. Fresh grapefruit dominates with no sign of the ABV. Really tasty.
