Since mid 2019 has Heineken a minority interest in the brewery. On June 21, 2023, it was announced that Heineken had acquired all shares of the brewery and thus became full owner of the brewery. The takeover coincides with the move of Oedipus.

The brewery and taproom at Gedempt Hamerkanaal 85 were closed on April 14, 2024. The brewery and taproom were moved to Schaafstraat 19, 300 meters further, where the Oedipus Craft Space will open in the early summer of 2024.

0.375 l bottle from 'De Bierkoning', bottled in July 2019. Almost clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, pinkish white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, fairly fruity and a bit vinous aroma of elderberry, red grapes and some elderflower. Slightly sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, moderately earthy and a bit vinous taste of elderberry, elderflower, red grapes and some wood, followed by a medium long, quite tart, rather earthy-dry and slightly woody finish. Medium body, fairly astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. A bit all over the place, disharmonious, harsh, so far by far the least appealing from the studio bieren I've tried. Might be worth aging.

Bottle, 0.33l. Thick black pour, one finger creamy brown head. Very good retention, long lasting. Thick lacing on the glass as it goes down. Sweet and fruity nose, notes of forest fruits and figs, slightly roasted, mild coal and woody notes. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Creamy texture, chewy mouthfeel. Smooth and pleasant. Bittersweet taste, roasty and liquory. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and toffee, molasses. Syrupy. Dried fruits, figs. Ashy, coal. Cocoa. Liquory, nicely warming. Slightly sticky. Long lasting finish, dry and boozy. Very good Imperial Stout. Tasty.

Bottle at a tasting in Beermalade. Pretty dry, thin body, high carbonation. Malt in background, hops too. Slightly spicy, light coconut. The special ingredients not really showing too much, only very subtly. Easy drinking though, tasty too.

Bottle. Pale yellow color with thick white head. Aroma of lemongrass, peppers, hops. Taste, malt, pepper, lemgrass, dill, coconuts. Nice.

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Hazy pale golden, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, camomile, herbal tea, honey. Very light white grapes. Light acidity emerges. Light floral and herbal. Very light sourness. Thin body. Light finish, moderate to high carbonation.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, perfumed lemony nose. Sourisy citrusy, yeasty, light grassy and mild fruity hoppy with pretty high carbonation. Refreshing.

Bottle. Nice saison aroma, herbal, creamy and light berries. Touch of citrus too. Taste is also good, grainy, creamy, touch of malt. Light bitterness. Good taste for the strength. Like it!

Lichtgeel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is zuur en fruitig. Niet echt mijn ding maar deze heeft wel smaak, iets van citroen en grapefruit.

Bottle @ home. Pours a black colour indeed and a dense beige head with good retention. Aroma's are firm roast, toasted bread, smoked malts, burning rubber. Retronasal it's hard roasted, tar, toast, bitter. Flavour is moderate bitter, smoky, light sweet, lots of toast. Medium bodied. Decent carbonation. Long finish with tons of roast, moderate bitter. A bit over the top maybe, but still quite enjoyable.

Bottle, pale blonde. Doesn’t really look appatizing. Citrus in the aroma. Citric, spciy flavor with peppermint and lemongrass. Some floral hops. A bit too perfumed perhaps, but a nice beer. Grapefruit finish.
