Cask at the brewery - dark copper - another excellent mild from this brewer - lovely mineral/Burton bite to it - complex, earthy malt expression, with notes of leaves, whiskey/peat, mushroom, tobacco - toasty/bready qualities on the tail end - lingering mineral in the finish - one of the best new beers Iβve had here in a while.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI on 10/03/2014. Jet black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. The finish is roasty with a charred malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

On tap @ the brewery. Golden appearance with a frothy white head. Addict herbal hops, grass, hay, and floral aroma. Nice. Dry straw, hay flavor. Fairly spicy hops. Very herbal and fresh. Delicious.
