Cask gravity at GBVF 2014. It pours clear golden amber with minimal head. The nose is soft, fruity, tangerine, apricot, peachy, grain and marmalade. The taste is bitter-sweet, bitter, grapefruit, astringency, straw, pine, oily, peachy and apricot with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Decent.

Tap - once again, Hogshead makes a brown that I not only find drinkable, butreally enjoy - combines a nice toffee sweetness with a balancing mineral bite, moderate mushroomy earthiness, a touch of leather and smoke - moderate bitterness and toasty malts - lightly peaty finish - excellent brown.

Dark brown, light chocolate character, touch of almost crackerlike malt. Very sweet, extra chocolatey, a lot of alcohol too. A big rich beer, ok, with no real nuance.

Golden-amber with a little bit of haze. Lots of blueberry on the nose, something I don’t normally associate with EKG. Light touch of caramel in the malt signature. The palate is light, sweet, not that much character actually. Would like to try this w/o the sparkler. A bit heavy for cask, though.

Hazy dull tan. Aroma is really fruity, lots of pear, light apple, too. Sweet, a bit syrupy, quite estery, Honestly I’m not sure what to make of that one. Odd brew.
