Can pour from the brewery. Hazy dark pink with ring of head. Aroma is sweet/tart berry and wheat. Taste is more tart than sweet berry over wheat. Smooth, thin, somewhat watery texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Not particularly strong blueberry. Meh.

16 oz can. Thanks tfontana on the share. Aroma is subtle berry, light wheat. Flavor follows. Pretty good for a standard fruit ale.

Can, undated, thanks to tfontana, drunk 1/20/24. Bright cherry-blueberry. Small, white head. Juicy, soft, fruity. A bit lactic, punchy. Soft, juicy, really nicely fermented fruit. Not too punchy, just a hint of lactic character with pepper and blueberry skin.

5 oz. pour on tap at Cask and Vine (2016 vintage). Appearance is inky black with ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt and toffee; hint of anise and leather. Taste is strong as aroma with late coffee bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, excellent strength and really smooth. Decent complexity.

500mL bottle vintage 2021, drunk 5/20/23. Thanks, TJ! Dark cola-magenta-mahogany. No head. Lovely, lovely nose without any harsh rum. Spice, caramel, vanilla, red wine and a barreled roundness. Deep and aromatic with no booze or excessive sugar. Soft, malty, very vinous, tannic, rather rummy. Very dry and tannic on the finish. Some oxidation, vanilla, grape. Very well malted and attenuated. A bit overly rummy and grapey, but otherwise very well done/aged.

On tap at the source. Lightly hazy bright yellow with a thin white head that slowly dissipates. Light bready crackery maltiness with hints of cereal and some light floral hops to counter. Light clove and astringency.
