Can from the source. Deep brown with ruby at the edges and a frothy creamy tan head that persists. Lots of resinous pine and light citrus against a light molasses, roasty chocolate maltiness. Damn good brew!

Cask at the source Saturday afternoon. Deep brown with a faint garnet at the edges. Tan head recedes almost instantly. Rich light roasty chocolate and bready maltiness with plenty of citrus and pine to counter. Light tannin oak and a hint of vanilla round this out nicely.

Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Appearance is clear golden yellow with light sparkle, small white foamy head with poor retention. Aroma is strong pine, grapefruit. Taste is strong pine, lightly herbal bordering on corn chip, lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter pine, dry and crisp. Overall, this is good and those who love pine should dig it. It's a little one dimensional as more of a mix with tropical fruit would do well. Based on other reviews, perhaps a taster pour wasn't enough.

12 oz can bought in NH. Clear dark brown pour with a tiny beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Smooth and semi-creamy dark lager flavor. Vanilla is subtle mixing with dark chocolate notes. Good stuff.

From my dear brother: pours golden with white head. Aroma is light citrus and hint ls of resin. Pretty standard APA. Is this a wheat ale? The can says APA... oh well.

Sample at the 2nd Birthday Bash Hazy murky grapefruit juice of a beer with a small but long lasting tightly bubbled white head. Huge citrusy grapefruit on the nose and in the flavor with bits of pith and a faint bready malt underneath. No alcohol presence, very juicy, very nice beer.
