16 oz. can purchased at Greg & Jane's. Epping, NH. Aroma is slight rye-like spiciness, earthiness, citrus, toasted grain. Taste is spicy rye upfront with a mild citrus hint, and some slight coffee. Pretty well balanced from start to finish. Roast, citrus and pinecone rounds out the flavors. Alcohol is totally masked. Really nice for the style!

Cask pint at the source today. Darker than the base beer almost black no doubt from the cold brewed coffee addition. Big bubbled off white head shows moderate retention. Big coffee and caramel on the nose with faint hints of hazelnut chocolate and earthy hops to counter. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty cask beer, the coffee is smooth not bitter and integrates well with the rest of the beer although the hazelnut seems to get lost in the rest of the flavors.

Can from the source. Deep dark brown with garnet at the edges and a thin off whit ehead that slowly dissipates. Bready caramel with light chocolate maltiness against a hint of fruit and earthy hops. Clean well made brown ale.

Can from the source. Deep brown with ruby at the edges and a frothy creamy tan head that persists. Lots of resinous pine and light citrus against a light molasses, roasty chocolate maltiness. Damn good brew!

Cask at the source Saturday afternoon. Deep brown with a faint garnet at the edges. Tan head recedes almost instantly. Rich light roasty chocolate and bready maltiness with plenty of citrus and pine to counter. Light tannin oak and a hint of vanilla round this out nicely.

Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Appearance is clear golden yellow with light sparkle, small white foamy head with poor retention. Aroma is strong pine, grapefruit. Taste is strong pine, lightly herbal bordering on corn chip, lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter pine, dry and crisp. Overall, this is good and those who love pine should dig it. It's a little one dimensional as more of a mix with tropical fruit would do well. Based on other reviews, perhaps a taster pour wasn't enough.

12 oz can bought in NH. Clear dark brown pour with a tiny beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Smooth and semi-creamy dark lager flavor. Vanilla is subtle mixing with dark chocolate notes. Good stuff.
