The first batches were brewed before Spring 2013 at the Hornbeam Cafe, Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London. Later production moved to the Blackhorse Workshop, Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow where we produced over a hundred brews. After brewing a few batches in Bermondsey production was moved to the Brecon Beacons.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival, 7/2/2020. Near black in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Some dark berry sweetness, a touch of creaminess and some malty toastiness in the finish. A bit thin in the mouth, but ok overall.

Bottle from Camden Farm Stores, Brecon at 6.5%. Hazy gold with some lumpy sediment in suspension and a thin white head. Aggressively fizzy. Doughy white bread, light foam banana, marmalade, white pepper, ginger powder. Vodka and more ginger powder - it's quite spicy. A wisp of smoke in the lightly dry finish. Overall it's just ok - I'd have liked the smokiness to have come through a bit more.

Chez Smith bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for the bottle. Light haze on this gold beer, smal pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry, decent.fine carbonation. Thin dry malts, grainy sweetness. Little dry floralness. Modest dried fruits. Dry finish. Not that drinkable.
