Description
UnBarred was established in 2014 from the shed of our founder and Head Brewer Jordan Mower. Born of a passion to brew uncompromising and exciting beer, our original flagship IPA won the Bev Robbins Award for the Best Sussex Beer in its first year of production. We soon outgrew the shed and moved onto gypsy brewing, enabling us to grow production and hone our craft, working together with other fabulous breweries.

Since establishing our taproom and brewery in the heart of Brighton in August 2019, we have doubled our production and embraced the Brighton community that we call home. Our core range is stocked nationwide, alongside ltd editions that embody the creativity, passion and freedom that have always defined our core ethos. We love to collaborate with other breweries that share those same values.

We’re inclusive, passionate and adventurous in everything we do, from our beer conception through to our design, brewing and welcoming taproom experience. To celebrate our roots, we love to work with local artists, independent businesses and fellow-creatives to showcase the best of the vibrant culture and boundless innovation of this beautiful city.

We are UnBarred.

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Clean pale malts, mildly sweet. Nice light piney hop. The pineapple character of the Denali hops shines through here, no idea it was brewed with Denali but the flavour had me reaching for the can to see if it was a fruit ipa! Mild bitternes. Light finish. Clean, tasty and drinkable.

Can. Hazy gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Pine and modest hop spice. Trace of vanilla. Mellow pineapple and soft citrus. Nice soft orange and lemon. Trace of red berries. Smooth semi dry finish. Nice. A very light Milkshake IPA vibe here. Good soft fruits with pine and spice. Like it!

On tap at Fuggles Beer Cafe Tunbridge Wells. Hazy gold amber colour Somerset coffee on aroma. Some fruit too. And a little sourness. Coffee in the flavour not overly sour. OK some biscuit. Pretty good. OK I thought.
