Craft Islington. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet malts. Some light vanilla and strawberry. Little orange peel underneath. Smooth finish. Not bad. Like the strawberry and vanilla.

Keg on Bobs birthday w/e, Saturday 9th June 2018, Furnace, Derby. Pours mid gold, white head. Lots of orange, sweet but then dry. A good beer. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13C). Can 44 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 04/05/2018). AROMA: combination of meidum rosted malts (toasty, slight bready and toffee) and medium-low floral hops with an earthy hint. slight hop oxidation. APPEARANCE: dark brown color with ruby highlights against light. medium light brown head with medium retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with notes of roasted malt (toasty, slightly toffee) and hops (floral, slight earthy). medium bitterenss with a dry finish and slightly bitter. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a porter with aroma tilted towards hops showing slight oxidation notes (already past its best before date, demands re-tasting).

Can from Fuggles Beer Cafe Tonbridge and drunk at home. Hazy amber orange colour lasting white head. Orange pine grapefruit aroma. Reminds me of a PNW ipa with the pine and bitterness but with new school fruit flavours. Like a boozy orange. Pretty decent ipa. Good fruit.

Can shared in Canary Wharf - picked up at the bottle shop on Hackney Road. Pours black-brown with a foamy, tan head. The nose holds burnt grass, earth, orange peel. Light sweet flavour, earthy, with notes of cocoa and well roasted malts. Light tom medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Good balance in the finish, more rounded cocoa, earthy hops. Solid overall.

Can. Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Dry malts provide a little creamy sweetness. A spot of fresh orange is overwhelmed by pithy bitterness and bitter. Hop dust.dry bitterish finish. Too dry and dusty.

Can split at L6, thanks to LKS, 22/05/18. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is charr, toffee, light spice, brown bread, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises cocoa powder, pine needle, light charr, red berry fruits, mellow roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Adequate CDA.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to LKS for the can. Almost clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow tangy dark malts, little cream, trace of coffee. Tangy dark fruits. Pinch of spice and mild pine. Light finish. A tad tangy but flavoursome.

Can thanks to LKS. It pours hazy near black with a medium beige head. The aroma is earthy, toasty, roasted malt, toasty, roasted malt, chocoalte cake, liquorice, dark fruits, plum, damson and pie. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty grain, roasted malt, wood, charred, wood, leather, grassy, weedy, peppery spice, plum, damson, date, liquorice and some spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit unbalanced. Ok, but a lot of umami.
