Thin beige head on a reddish brown body. Malt & coffee aroma. Medium bodied, lively & thinning out to a dry back. Coffee, malt, toffee & citrus tastes with a tangy finish. Nice enough.

Gravity cask at day 2 of the 40th Pigs Ear Beer festival, Round Chapel Hackney, 04/12/24.
Deep mahogany brown topped with a beige head.
Nose is light roast, dark malts, stewed fruits, biscuit.
Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, cocoa powder, ashen nip, dark malts, charr, raisins.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Okay if a bit thin all round.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Deep reddish brown pour with a beige head. Toffee, fruitcake, caramel, cola & vanilla fudge aromas. Taste is a delicate blend of the above. Rich sweet warming finish. Right up mein Straße!

Tap at mad Squirrel watford. A clear dark brown coloured pour with ruby red hues and a lasting beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, dusty earth, mellow roast, dried fruits hint of cherry, bark. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, toasted brown bread, rye bread, little thin, mellow earthy roast, liquorice light spice in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, watery, fine carbonation. Interesting, but a baltic needs more ooumf.

Can shared at the Watford tasting . 2024-09-20. Many thanks to Bearded Mark. A hazed burnt orange copper coloured pour with a lasting loose magnolia head. Aroma is semi swee,t big jammy fruits, cakey malts, rum and raisin, cakey malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, jammy apple, trail mix, nutty, tangy green apple, brown bread, cracker. Palate is semi sweet, jammy, cola cubes, mellow carbonation.

Bottle from Kill the Cat. Drunk at Watford Tasting. Aroma is fruity - dried fruit, dark fruit. Opaque toffee brown. Medium bitter. Boozy. Underlying malts. Citrusy sourness then sweeps through. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish.

Bottle split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, thanks to the Bearded Avenger 20/09/24. Chestnut brown with a beige cap. Nose is toffee, dried fruits, hint of glue, caramel. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, toffee, dates, hint of booze, sugars. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay if lacking a little depth.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to Mark. A light haze on this amber, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth and semi dry creamy sweet malts, light caramel. Very mild toffee. Light and semi dry finish. Simple but pleasant enough.
