On tap at The bear, Paddington, London. Pours a clear straw colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of minerals, spicy hops, grass, lime and white bread. Flavour of pale malt, sweet corn, grass and spicy hops. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and soft bitterness. Decent and relatively tasteful.

Bottle from 7k Jars in Kingston. Dark. Glossy. Foamy light beige head. Aroma has light coffee and associated berries over a creamy and malty base. Flavourwise it's got a sour streak over sweetness and yeastiness. The guy in the shop said it was more of a black lager than the Baltic Porter specified on here and the flavour backs that up for me. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. More dark lager with Porter elements than Baltic Porter.

This works really well. Sweet and malty, some caramel, bittersweet espresso vibes, roast, toffee, semi-ripe dark fruits. Rich but not boozy. Nice creamy coffee character. Solid.

Bottle split at the Portcullis tap, Portchester, South Coast Jolly Boys Day Out 20/09/2025.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is chocolate pudding, dark malts, dried fruit esters, toasted brown sugar.
Taste comprises dark malts, fruit loaf, chocolate, molasses, sugar dusting.
Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light kiss of booze.
It's okay but lacks depth of flavour and no boost offered for the style.
