Description
The name of our brand, Guineu, means fox in Catalan. This small mammal, common in our lands, has to be cunning to survive.
At Cervesa Guineu we understand beer as a product made with passion, which needs to be looked after from beginning to end. Our main premise is having absolute respect for our ingredients and natural brewing process. Craft beer means to explore, to surprise the palate with new and different nuances.
Located in an early 20th century building, in the textile colony of Valls de Torroella in the Barcelona province. Our brewery stands by the Cardener river. At present, our premises have a total area of 750m2, where the whole process of creation of our beers takes place. It all begins with an initial idea, followed by the design and creation of each recipe, until we actually brew it and finally package it. All this to offer you the finest possible product.

330ml bottle [no. 1 of Maddie’s fantastic 4-pack, thanks a lot!]. Clear, dark orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, sulphureous head. Resinous, citrusy, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of orange, blood orange, peach and nectarine. Taste is really bitter hoppy, resinous, chalky, minimally fruity, hints of tangerine and orange, candied orange zest, slightly sweet caramel malty backbone; oily texture. Really biting bitterness is more physically effective on the palate than providing flavourful impressions on your taste buds.

Anaranjada. Escasa espuma. Nebulosa, con sedimento evidente. El aroma es lúpulo. Pomelo. En boca tiene un perfecto punto de gas y resulta deliciosa, con sabor muy frutal, frutas tropicales y uva, y base acaramelada. Amargor contenido. Muy bebible. Muy agradable.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with BDomue. Clear yellow golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is best defined as hoppy lager. Flavor too. Malts, hops, malty bitter. A bit sharp on the bitter finish and rarity high carbonation. Ok.

Sample at Brew Wild Pizza Bar. Golden color, white head that quickly dimishes. Aroma has notes of marzipan and alcohol. Flavor is slightly sweet, phenolic taste, light spicy notes. In the final is not noticed a good feeling due to the high level al alcohol.
