At Cervesa Guineu we understand beer as a product made with passion, which needs to be looked after from beginning to end. Our main premise is having absolute respect for our ingredients and natural brewing process. Craft beer means to explore, to surprise the palate with new and different nuances.
Located in an early 20th century building, in the textile colony of Valls de Torroella in the Barcelona province. Our brewery stands by the Cardener river. At present, our premises have a total area of 750m2, where the whole process of creation of our beers takes place. It all begins with an initial idea, followed by the design and creation of each recipe, until we actually brew it and finally package it. All this to offer you the finest possible product.

Very dark brown to black with a beige head. Malty, Roasty, some sweet fruits, dark chocolate but not the super bitter kind, earthy, a bit dry cocoa. Medium bodied. Finish is dry. Not necessarily inspiring but very nice. The sweet fruit kinda throws it some but otherwise it’s solid.

Golden with a white head. Very brash hop notes with citrus, light pine, malts. Medium bodied. Finish is punchy. Solid but needs refining.

Draught at Deep Ellum circa 2010.
Light hazy blonde beer with a sizeable head.
Peppery with not really a recognizable yeast signature (nothing like B. brux, for example). Bready malts with light fruitiness and some hop acidity.
Similar flavors. Maybe more novel than actually interesting. Don't think this yeast is all that expressive. Pepper and muted yellow fruits with big carbonation and moderately bready malts.

Draughts upon release and various subsequent batches, circa 2009-2010 at Deep Ellum.
Lightly hazy, blonde beer with a large head.
At its best this is a world class beer, especially innovative upon its release for both it's wonderful treatment of Amarillo and it's unusually low abv. Both varied quite a bit throughout various batches and sometimes the beer was a bit underwhelming with too much yeast blandness and minimally expressive hop. Though never to an unenjoyable point. Rating is for the best/better batches, with the fresh, bright, floral-woody-spice of Amarillo and a yeast redolent of better saisons (nothing crude). Chewy, substantial malts (but very high attenuation) make you forget you're drinking a beer in the 1.8-2.8% abv range.

Buying this one, at Sevilla. Opening it at night, enjoying a free moment with my wife, tasting this right and tasty ipa, bitter, citrus, mineral, aromatic and floral hop, note of pineapple, tropical flavour, solid bitterness, refreshing, 03.03.23, at Epalinges.
