Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen - Dark Amber pour witb thin beige head. Sweet malty with a plethora of dark dried fruit, caramel, fudge, dark dried fruit, sweet and savoury into the finish.

Bottle@TTBS, Copenhagen - Black pour with tan ringed head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma and taste with chocolate and caramel sweetness, some charred burnt brown sugar, whisky soaked wooden accents into the close.

0.33 l bottle @ home. Clear golden, white head. Nice fruity notes dominate its aroma and these appear in taste as well, combined with some bitter hops and fine malty base. Leaves lingering bitter finish, has light body and average carbonation. Might be a bit one dimensional, but well made for sure.

Bottiglia. Territorio olfattivo dominato da luppolo, agrumato e pesca. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La parte liquida è di aspetto velato e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è strutturato ma duttile. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e lunga. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di amaro. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul palato si attestano impressioni di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, pino, un accenno di resinoso, pompelmo, spezie, vaniglia, mango e papaja.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori da luppolo e sentori tropicali, terrosi e gelsomino. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il mantello birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. La parte liquida appare velata. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. La carbonazione è allegra e vivace. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante e articolato. L'amaro è fortemente amaro. La forza gustativa è molto elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e duratura. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate e di buona birra. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, frutta secca, resina, pompelmo, the verde, mandarino ed agrumi.

Bottle at home. Aroma is burnt malt, lots of liquorice, big vanilla, coal, hint of dark chocolate, crème brûlée, marshmallow. Flavour is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of liqourice and vanilla, but the flavours work well in this intense beer.

Bottle at home. Aroma is lots of raspberry, sweet cherry, chocolate, dark malt, creamy. Flavour is medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is almost medium. Wow, this sure does deliver. I had a piece of cherry chocolate pie earlier today and this beer is like the liquid incarnation of that wonderful pie. Delicious!

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, piney hops, coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate, citrus. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a solid roasty hoppy bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Pleasant and smooth hoppy Imperial Stout with lots of liquorice and coffee notes.

From tap at Oersoep Craft Beer Festival 2016. Aroma is massive coffee, mocha, coffee beans, slight cream. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Not hoppy enough to be called Black IPA, this is all about the daily grind.
