Black as the night, small foamy tan head, slowly dissipating to a thin layer. Rather vinous and complex aroma, roasted malt, liquorice, fortified wine, wood, cocoa, dark and red fruits, alcohol. Flavour light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, roasty, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, liquorice, wood. Full-bodied, oily to sticky texture, soft carbonation, 'burning' boozy sweetbitter aftertaste, coffee, chocolate, real heavy duty beer, a bit rough but well-balanced, excellent.

On tap at lsnedkeren, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lactic acid, gentle wild yeast, and a hint of stone fruit pith. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of lacto, and a hint of tartness. Rather mineraly - not good.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours a pitch black with a nice dark brown medium head. Aromas of roasted coffee, dark caramel, liquorice, malt and tobacco. A well balanced taste of sweetness and the roasted coffee. A really nice stout.
