Shared can at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 28.06.19. Dark, slightly hazy golden. Fine off-white head and lacing. Aroma of citrus toilet cleaner. Taste of unfresh citrus. Fizzy mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle purchased on a boat ride in St John, USVI. 4.5% ABV. Drank straight from the bottle. No specific flavors, just smooth and cold, easy drinking and very refreshing in the hot sun.

Bottle as Virgin Islands Small Batch Seasonal Series Amber Ale at 5.5% that Jan brought back from the so-self-designated brewpub. Pours clear amber with a creamy beige head. Roasty malty aroma; sweetish. Med minus body. Flavor is roasty/malty. Sweet; hardly bitter. Heading towards a Vienna perhaps. Arguably some hops. The nasty chocolate flavor I feared is not present. Good for an amber.

After a series of pale lagers consumed on a Caribbean cruise I got to finish with an IPA, thank goodness. Purchased at a small restaurant in St Croix I drank it from the bottle while looking out over the turquoise waters. I was pleased with the initial hoppiness after all the previous blandness I have experienced. Basic citrus taste and a good following bitterness, I was happy to be delivered some flavor. Not out of the ordinary but quite nice.
